Bethel's Ministry Update - May 15

We continue to ride this rollercoaster that we trust God will use for his glory. If we pay attention, I believe we will see evidence of God's work. In some cases, it's a slower pace, our faith lived out in our homes, waiting on God's timing, trusting in God's strength and not in our own, or more people turning to God for answers and for peace. These are not concrete things, but they happen through relationship, conversation, letting our guard down, and opening up our hearts to God's truth. While we struggle in different ways, I pray that if we have anything in common, that together our hearts, eyes and minds will be receptive to God's Word and his direction. And may that continue as we come out of this, sending a stronger, bolder and more faithful church into our community to MAKE ROOM in order to make an eternal difference in the lives of our neighbors!

2. Ramadan (Week 3) "30 Days of Prayer" - Please continue to pray for the Muslims around the world during Islam's holy month of Ramadan (ends May 23). Dan Venberg shares an update for week three with an exciting update from Missionary Nathanael Szobody!

3. Weekly Prayer Gatherings (Wednesdays) - Join Pastor Rich and Pastor Kevin for weekly prayer gatherings over Zoom (A short devotional and small group time of prayer). Let's pray for each other, for our community and for the world during this time. The links that were included in our weekly email will work each week until we decide to suspend these online gatherings. If you haven't received the links, please contact the church office and we will provide them to you.

4. COMMUNITY CARE & RESPONSE - This is an incredible time to be the church in our community.

• "Stronger Together" Information & Prayer Event - During the month of June, Bethel is planning to host several livestream events for you and our community. We will hear from experts on various topics such as small business, mental health and family development. This will help us to more effectively care for and pray for our neighbors. The first event will happen the first week in June. Details to come.
• "Take-Out Tuesday" for Frontline Workers - Bethel is excited to care for our frontline workers on Take-Out Tuesdays! Taking certain ministry funds that will not be used due to COVID-19, Bethel will be purchasing meals from local restaurants for frontline workers (schools, healthcare, law enforcement, etc) each week.
