Bethel Ministry Update - May 21, 2020

We're excited to celebrate this Memorial Day weekend with a Drive-In Worship service in Battle Lake on Saturday evening! (Details below)Due to the thunderstorms forecasted for Sunday morning, we are also providing a full worship service online for Sunday worship.

Please pray for all the volunteers that will make this special worship service possible. This takes a lot of coordination, planning, and hard work, and we appreciate all of you who are able to help make this happen.

We want you to know two (2) things this week:

1. WEEKEND WORSHIP (2 options)
  • Drive-In Worship - Saturday, 6:00 PM / Battle Lake Public School
    Join us in the Battle Lake public school parking lot. We will stay in our vehicles and tune in on your radio to hear the worship service.
  • Online Worship - The digital worship service will be available starting at 8:00 AM on Sunday morning. (Due to the thunderstorms forecasted for Sunday morning, we are offering the digital worship service experience for Sunday)

2. "STRONGER TOGETHER" Online Conversation & Prayer Event
> Goes live June 3 (Wed) at 7:00 PM (Facebook and Bethel's website)

As the people in our area continue to generously support those in need in our community, we want to make sure we are making wise and informed decisions. We often make assumptions about the needs around us, seeing things through our own social lens. We want to hear from those who's boots are on the ground. This event invites three experts in the areas of small business (Annie Deckert, Greater Fergus Falls), community action (Lisa Lipari, Mahube-Otwa), and mental health (Cindy Pipnich, Lakeland Mental Health), to share the current state of our communities. They will help educate us on the greatest needs, what is being done to help, and how we as a church and community can most effectively MAKE ROOM in our own lives in order to make a difference in the lives of others.

Thank you for MAKING ROOM in many ways, Bethel Church, in this time of isolation!
Where does our hope and strength come from? Pastor Kevin preached from Psalm 13 this past Sunday...
But I trust in your unfailing love;
 my heart rejoices in your salvation.
I will sing the Lord’s praise,
 for he has been good to me.

(Psalm 13:5,6)
